Your Questions Answered
Hello, I hope you are enjoying your week so far! If you are new to my page, welcome!
I have compiled a bunch of frequently asked questions and listed my answers below. If there is a question that I have not covered and you would love to know, please flick me an email.
Is it all your own work?
Yes! All prints are photographed and designed by myself, Amanda King. It is all me.
My prints are not curated with any other photographers. When purchasing from my store, you are supporting a small business based in New Zealand. I am originally from Australia. All my Australian orders are printed and framed in Australia to support Australian businesses. All my New Zealand orders are printed and framed in New Zealand.
What sizes do you offer?
I offer sizes A3, A2, A1, 40 x 30 inches, A0, and 60 x 40 inches (150cm x 100cm) More info about sizes can be found here
Do you do custom sizing?
For sure, please email amanda@amandakingphotography.com for custom sizes.
Most of my prints can be altered to fit an existing frame, this even includes if you want something square. Just contact me prior to ordering so that we can discuss the size you're after.
Do you offer a framing service?
Yes we definitely offer framing. We offer framing for all sizes! We even have various colours available. We can now frame up to 150cm x 100cm however please email for the special order.
Service Times: Our frames are handmade with an approximate two-three week turnaround. What goes on in the process?
It is highly recommend you use our services for the black prints. The black prints can mark easily with the oils on your fingertips. This eliminates this problem and avoids double handling.
Can you recommend places to buy my own frames?
These are the places that other customers have recommended to me.
New Zealand, , Kmart, IKEA, Spotlight, Freedom Furniture, Adairs, Country Road,
Australia Freedom Furniture, Adairs, Spotlight, Office Works, IKEA
please keep in mind that the quality varies greatly!
Do your framed prints have a white border?
You can choose your print to have a white border as an option. This does not change the overall dimensions of your print. Some prints may look more effective with a full bleed. Black prints look great with a black frame and full bleed.
I recommend that you do not add on a white border if your frame already has a mat insert or a lot of negative white space already,
Do you offer stretched canvas & framed canvas?
Our canvas is printed onto a bright white matte canvas, and comes stretched ready to hang. Not all canvas prints are created equal. We’re proud of our exceptional print quality, and ability to reproduce every nuance of your favourite images on beautifully textured canvas.
The canvas is 80% Cotton and 20% polyester, we add the polyester to give the canvas greater tension acorns the image so it doesn’t sag over time. It is printed and then sprayed with museum grade lacquer, which protects against moisture, abrasion and UV damage.
Canvasses are stretched onto pine stretcher bar which is strong, durable and from planted forests so environmentally friendly.
You can also add a floating frame to your canvas. It will look great!
Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.
