Angus In The Snow
I thought I would pick some of my favourite images from my book A Load Of Bull,
and share them with you over the next few weeks. Don't worry, I am not going to give too much away, as nothing will beat having the book to hold in your very own hands! I don't want to spoil it for you.
It seems to be the perfect time of the year to share such an image with our current weather at the moment.
I often wonder how cattle tolerate the extremities of the weather. What goes through their minds? When it is freezing like this, it is so important that they are provided with good winter feed - this is like their blanket that keeps them warm and happy.
It is quite tricky heading out with my camera in these conditions! The camera is exposed to the elements and your hands freeze and go numb. Some good fingerless gloves are needed. It is very hard to use a camera with full gloves on - I have tried!
I love this shot with its contrasting colours and the wintered trees in the background.
You can Pre-Order the book here.
I was lucky enough to find some behind the scene clips of photographing the Angus cattle in the snow.
